If you’re thinking becoming an entrepreneur is a good way to make money quickly, you need to go back to school and learn your math, or you’re blind, since you can’t see the statistics of how many people fail.

95% of companies die, if you truly wanted wealth and a constant income then being an entrepreneur is stupid, you’re better off getting a job.

2. You like the power it gives you.

I know some of you love the idea of calling yourself a CEO or President, and you get to sit at the top of the pyramid looking down, but in real life, it doesn’t work like that, when you’re the CEO everyone is your boss.

Think about it, your employees are your boss, investors, customers, and the media, they all own you, if you thought having one boss was bad just wait until you become an entrepreneur, you’re going to start thinking about who runs this company?

3. You want more freedom.

A lot of people hate their 9 to 5, so they think of becoming an entrepreneur, this is due to how they see people only working four hours a week, due to their passive income, however, the real truth is that your going to be hustling so much your 9 to 5 is going to look like a holiday.

Since everything in life takes time and dedication, especially making a business, you’re going to be jumping over hurdles and handling rejection to try and make this work, not to mention the countless nights that you’re working until you drop.

4. You like your job.

5.You think you’re going to have a huge army.

A lot of people dream of the idea of having millions of people knowing their name, that everywhere they go people are screaming their name, or your face is on billboards, also they believe they’re going to have employees all over the world.

But, if you look at the statistics it’s rather scary, how many people build their business alone, out of the 5.5 million businesses 76% of the businesses, were started by only one person, this shows that the road of entrepreneurship is very lonely.

6. You think you will feel happier.

This one is a huge lie, statistics show that 1 in 3 entrepreneurs experience depression, also stress, this is due to the constant pressure and responsibility on your shoulders, since you’re in control of everything.

And you may have a lot of people who rely on you, not to mention outside pressure like the media, and trying to keep up with deadlines.

7. You’re trying to find your life’s purpose.

When did entrepreneurship become so trendy, a few years ago it was a bunch of old guys trying to build an invention with wood?

However, when most people leave college or quit their job in search of becoming an entrepreneur, they think that things are going to go fine.

But why, are so many people wanting to start a business?

The reason is due to how the media perceive entrepreneurs; everyone thinks that you’re a superstar.

However, this boils down to the need to be wanted and rich, consider that 87% of workers feel disengaged and bored of their work.

This is why people struggle to find purpose, we all want a deeper feeling of belonging, Professor Steve Taylor the senior lecturer in psychology at Leeds Becker university, said that not having a sense of purpose has a higher chance of anxiety, boredom, and depression.

Because baked into every brain, we have a thirst for a mission and need to have a quest, this statistic can even go as far as having a better chance of longer life, that sounds like a lot of pressure don’t you think?

And Russell’s dad said, “When you’re bored, and there is no one around to judge you, what do you like to do?”.

 Ask yourself this question too, this will give you a good direction on what inspires you.
