My first question to you is this, what’s the difference between a strategy and a tactic?

You see, most entrepreneurs are tactical, when they seek information, they’re looking for tactics, and usually, that doesn’t work because they’re not strategic.

They don’t think in terms of “Hmm that was interesting, but why didn’t it work? Why didn’t it produce the results I was looking for?”. They don’t take enough time to think.

You need to be a strategist; these are the people who get paid the big bucks.

These are the kind of people that look at the bigger picture and look at a business from a space satellite.

What do we need? Very often what you think you need is not what you really need.

Remember this, very often what you think you need to take your business to the next level is not actually what you need.

Because most entrepreneurs have what is called tunnel vision, a strategy is nothing more than a plan that overcomes an obstacle.

Our job as an entrepreneur is to first understand what are the obstacles? What are the problems we are trying to solve?

And sometimes it may not be so obvious, ask yourself again, what are the obstacles? What exactly is holding me back from going to the next level?

I believe most people don’t get what they want in life because they don’t know what they want in life.

Your success in life is largely determined by how clear you are with your vision, so what is your ideal lifestyle? What is it that you want to accomplish?

Maybe the people around you in your life are saying that you should be happy with what you have, and you should be content.

Here’s the thing, as human beings, we are creatures of habit, we don’t like to change, the problem is most people in life are playing not to lose instead of playing to win.

If you’re playing to win it involves taking some risk, it involves stepping outside your comfort zone, and doing something you’ve never done before.

You see, in life, we all suffer from 2 forms of pain.

The pain of regret.

And

The pain of discipline.

The problem is, the pain of discipline weighs ounces, and the pain of regret weighs tons.

You’ve got to pick one of these, which one will you choose?

Indecision is a decision.

I believe a leader is a dealer in hope, you need to be able to paint a picture for your team and organization and tell them exactly where they are going and why they should stick beside you.

I think the number 1 biggest leadership quality is vision, being able to create a vision and have clarity of what the vision is, and then being able to communicate and articulate that vision to your team consistently on an ongoing basis, is the most important thing.
