Internet Marketing Tips And Sales Training Methods

HMMM??? Google Ads vs Facebook Ads: Which one is better for your 2021 business ad strategy?

Hello, my friend, it’s Adventago here, and I’ve spent a lot of money on both Google and Facebook ads, and in this blog post, I’m going to be going over and comparing the pros and the cons, the strengths, and the weaknesses of each of these different platforms for advertising your business on.

I’m going to go over several data points about each of these businesses, and I’m also going to be comparing them on the pros and cons.

So, you can figure out what’s going to be the best solution? What’s going to be the best fit for your business or for your start-up to use to advertise?

Let’s get into this! I’m really excited about this subject, since it’s one I deal with all the time and I’m excited to teach you about this, without further delay let’s get into this.

Before I got interested in the organic traffic realm, I was marketing heavily on Facebook and Google for quite a while.

Now I’m going to be doing even more paid marketing for other companies doing affiliate marketing, and I make money when the clients of mine make sales.

Also, with the help of so many high-paying affiliate offers you can make a boatload of money a month doing advertising on Google and Facebook, so that’s kind of my credentials in how I understand this.

I spend hundreds of dollars in ads per month, and that’s my experience base, so, I’m going to be talking to you about these two beautiful ad networks that I love, and I base my business around.

“But Adventago! I just want to know what’s the best ad network to advertise on! I just want to know what’s the cheapest social media platform to advertise on! Just tell me, is it this one or that one, ok?”

Now hold on partner check this out, both ad networks reach billions of people, anybody you want to reach, you can reach through both Google and Facebook, so there is no best.

But what I am going to be talking to you about is the difference between the two, who knows, you might prefer one over the other, we’ll get into that shortly, but first some statistics.

First off, Google, according to CNBC More than 80% of Alphabet’s revenue comes from Google ads, which generated $147 billion in revenue last year, whereas according to Statista in 2020, Facebook generated close to 84.2 billion U.S. dollars in ad revenues.

Both ad networks are big, but Google is a lot bigger, but here’s another interesting point, (Which is what we’re going to cover in the pros and cons).

Is according to business insider Google has 4 million advertisers whereas according to Facebook there are three million businesses advertising on their platform.

As you can see, two ad networks, but very different aspects…

Now, what are the pros and cons of each of these ad networks?

Over here we have Google, and the pros of Google are…

1. It’s easier to scale.

It’s easier to spend higher sums of money using Google than Facebook, and you can grow that advertising much quicker, for various reasons, Facebook has all these manual review limits and whatnot.

You’re usually limited to spending a certain amount of money per day based on various things.

But with Google, if you’re spending $100 a day and you’re making back $200 a day, you can scale that quickly to $20,000 a day, so you’re making $40,000 a day. In essence, it’s a lot easier on Google.

Another plus about Google is…

2. Ad approval is a lot easier.

Depending on what you’re advertising, you’ll be able to get away with making stronger claims, talking about more benefits, and being able to market more aggressively, than you would be able to do on Facebook.

Ad approval happens faster on Google, more ads get approved, it’s easier, and also there’s less competition.

On Google, as you saw, it’s twice as big, but has half the number of advertisers, so the competition is about 25, or 20 something percent of what it would be on Facebook, relatively speaking.

Everybody and their mother and their dog is talking about advertising on Facebook, that’s the hot thing to do right now, but less competition means lower costs as well on Google, so that’s a pretty interesting thing to note.

Why would you advertise on Facebook?

We’ll get into that right now one of the reasons is.

The targeting is a lot easier.

You don’t have to know as much about marketing to target.

In fact, Facebook doesn’t even recommend you target anymore, they recommend you just let the ad run and their algorithm is so good, they can figure out who is interacting with your posts.

They can figure out what you’re advertising, they analyze your web page, and they just serve your ad to the most interested people, and they keep optimizing your audience for you, which is magical.

One of Facebook’s core frameworks, when it began, was making the user experience as beautiful as possible, and again, they were optimizing around shareholder value, and their shareholder value was based on usage and attention.

As a more mature company, Facebook is focusing on the user experience for its advertisers, which is why it’s so focused on gaining new advertisers and making it easy to do advertising on their platform.

That’s why they focus so much on targeting, because targeting can be hard to figure out who’s going to be best served by your ads.

It’s kind of hard to figure it out if you’ve never advertised before, and Facebook has taken a very detailed role in figuring out how to take as much work off your plate as possible.

It’s beautiful, so that’s one of the major pluses, and as an organization, that’s what Facebook optimizes around now, they’re working to make it easier for everyone to advertise, which makes it really exciting.

Another reason is…

2. They’ve made ad creation very easy.

You can literally put in a website and Facebook can figure out an ad for you, the process is very simple, you create an ad for Facebook, and it can show up on Instagram, and all over the place, in a matter of minutes.

And last but not least, once again, we’re talking about targeting here…

3. Their Artificial Intelligence Targeting is on point.

Facebook has the most advanced artificial intelligence there is in figuring out who your target market is, who is going to be interested in not only seeing your ads, but buying from your ads.

Because they use both click-through rate data, view data, and conversion pixel data to optimize everything about it.

It’s set it and go, and Facebook does most of the figuring out for you, sort of makes sense why Facebook is so popular, they’ve made everything so much easier.

What are the negatives of advertising on Facebook and Google ads?

Now, let’s get into some of the downsides of using both of these ad platforms to promote your business or start a business.

The negatives of using Google to advertise is their…

1. User Interface (UI).

Their user interface is kind of clunky, there’s a lot of options, there’s no clear direction of exactly what to do, for people who are beginners, there are so many options, it can be very overwhelming

My good friend and personal mentor Russell Brunson teaches very in-depth on how to do Google ads in his 30-day training course + FREE Book called Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook For Filling Your Website and Funnels With Your Dream Customers… (By the way you can get it in audiobook form too). This goes over how you can get hundreds or even thousands of hungry buyers to your websites and funnels…

If you want to get instant access to the secrets to unlimited traffic to your website or funnel…

Also, if you feel skeptical (Which I totally understand) for ANY REASON feel free to click the button and go down to the area where the testimonials are.

You will get to see real-life videos of people who were in even worse conditions than you, but were able to go on and have massive success, if they can do it, I know you can too… 😊

The other downside of Google is their…

2. Targeting.

They don’t have the advanced AI targeting that Facebook has, Facebook is far above and beyond any company in this space.

Once again, so many targeting options, you can target by placements, you can target by keywords, you can target by topics, you can target by interests, you can target by demographics, and many more.

There are so many options that it’s a bit overwhelming trying to understand which option is going to work better.

Also, another con is that…

3. Everything is always changing in their algorithms.

This means it can be hard to get a read on what’s working best, in fact, according to search engine land most experts estimate that Google changes its search algorithm around 500 to 600 times each year.

You have to be very skilled, and you have very good education to be able to understand how to fully utilize Google ads.

And that’s also a reason why there are fewer advertisers, because in order for a small business which typically doesn’t have a marketing professional on their team.

Small businesses aren’t able to advertise on Google as much, because it’s more difficult for them, whereas small businesses, like your local flower shop, your local auto detail store can totally advertise themselves on Facebook, since Facebook figures it out for them and makes it really easy.

Now, Let’s get into some of the cons of Facebook.

Some of the cons are, as we talked about before is…

1. Competition.

There’s a lot of competition on Facebook, in fact, there’s about four times more competition on Facebook than there is on Google.

You are competing with more people, which in turn leads to more banner blindness and higher costs.

The costs are a bit higher on Facebook because of the increased level of competition, you have so many people on there all trying to sell to the same pool of people.

Now, the other negative about Facebook is…

2. Ad approval.

This is a major one because they don’t allow a lot of industries to advertise, Facebook prefers bigger brands, or they prefer hyper-local companies.

Getting an ad approved on Facebook can be a nightmare and they even ban accounts, they ban advertising accounts, they disapprove lots of ads, it’s just a nightmare to get advertising on Facebook.

You say the wrong word, you want to promote a weight loss product and you say “Weight loss in 30 days” In the ad, your ad will be disapproved, and your account may be banned just by saying the word, weight loss, or offering a certain time frame for results.

Ad approval is a serious issue, having ad accounts shut down is a big problem, unfortunately, it’s the nature of the game, if you want to do Facebook, what I advise people to do is be really safe in your ads, if you’re advertising on Facebook.

Or be prepared to go through a couple of ad accounts, it’s not a big deal, no harm no foul, so those are the pros and cons of Facebook.

“But Adventago, I can’t be asked to go through the full thing, I’m, the type of person who scrolls all the way to the end, can you summarize everything in one sentence, and tell me where’s the best place to start?”

Ok, first of all, can you not be that type of person, I know in this generation we are very impatient, but you have to remember someone went through the time, money, and effort, to make this content for you, it would be appreciated if you embraced the full thing… Thank you ♡ ♥💕❤

If I were to boil it down and answer which is the best ad network for your business, I would say this…

If you’re just starting out, I would say Facebook is the best place to simply get started, if you’re advertising a business.

You have to understand that your ad accounts may be banned, you may get ads disapproved, but that’s the nature of the beast.

Facebook is going to be much easier for the beginner because that’s what they focus on, they focus on making it easy to advertise the targeting, the interface, everything.

If you have a business and you’re looking to grow it further, Google is the best place to scale.

Russell Brunson my good friend and personal mentor, advocates within his training course that Google is a better place to get started if you’re willing to listen to his knowledge, and if you’re willing to invest a very tiny amount of money to harness the skills to utilize Google Ads. ($9.95 for shipping and handling in the US or $19.95 international).

Google also encompasses YouTube ads, it also encompasses ads on Gmail, and again, you can reach billions, and billions, and billions, of people with Google.

I’m a big fan of Google, I prefer Google, but in terms of the best place to start overall, given just assuming that you’re a complete beginner, I would say it would be Facebook.

Thank you for reading this short blog post, I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to fill your brain with something that will inspire you to be more in life and give you the boost you need to keep pushing towards your hopes and dreams.
