Who do you listen to when it comes to financial advice? And when it comes to business advice?
You know how you notice sometimes when you want to do something different, when you don’t want to be stuck in a pathetic 9 to 5 job, when you want to venture out, when you want to start a business.
You talk to the people around you, your family and friends, but, what do they say? “Don’t do that, play it safe, don’t take risk, and don’t try something new.”
Well, conventional wisdom is almost always wrong, who you listen to becomes extremely critical, you always want to consider the source, you can’t get rich listening to the poor.
Sometimes the people who love you the most are the ones that mess you up the most, they are called family and friends.
Sometimes they have the best intentions, they want what’s best for you, but they haven’t been there and done that.
Let me ask you a question, would you take advice from an overweight person on how to lose weight? Would you take advice from a smoker on how to quit smoking? Would you take advice from someone who is a meat-eater on how to be a vegetarian?
No, you just wouldn’t, so why would you take advice from someone who hasn’t been there done that, in spite of who they are, and in spite of how close they are to you.
Stop taking advice from broke people on how to get rich, it doesn’t matter who they are, they could be your mommy, daddy, wife, husband, or whoever they are.
Ask yourself this 1 simple question…
Are they qualified?
To give you that advice, the financial advice, or the business advice? If not then don’t listen to them, listen to yourself, listen to your gut instinct, and listen to someone who’s been there and done that.
Think about it…
When you take their advice, you take their life.
You will get what they have, are they where they want to be in your dreams? Are they where they want to be financially? If not then don’t take their advice, listen to yourself, and listen to people who have been there done that.
