Oh my gosh! This war has been going on for ages, one side says don’t hustle it won’t make you rich, and the other side says you have to work your face off.

However, the issue is that both sides have very sensible reasons for why they think this, so you can’t just point your finger and say they’re wrong!

You’re probably wondering if I’m going to start raining down hate on one side, but I can assure you this isn’t the case, I’m just giving my perspective on which side works for me, but first let’s give some backstory.

When I first started my blog Adventago I was working hard, for the whole day, on everything, from SEO, logo making, website developing and so much more.

I was the definition of a solopreneur, I even had my mum say, “This isn’t healthy”, but a bit of me loved it.

With the constant hustle and grind, I would think about how others were wasting precious hours sleeping, watching Netflix, or partying while I was building my empire.

Have you ever had that feeling?

If you keep putting your head down, ignoring the haters and distractions, and sacrificing the short-term pleasures for your long-term happiness, then all the back-breaking work will be worth it.

The answer may surprise you, but It’s yes, it does pay off, if you can’t stop blowing your money at the bar to impress people then you won’t be rich for long or ever.

Or if you can’t handle locking yourself away for a while to make something for your life that will enhance it, then you also won’t be rich.

You must have the power to be able to switch on the hustle switch and work like hell for a while or else you won’t make the traction you desire in your business.

This was a lifesaver for me, especially in the times when I felt like quitting on my blog, but if it wasn’t for the fact that I sometimes fell asleep on my desk due to exhaustion, then I would’ve never been where I am today.

But there’s a secret reason.

This doesn’t apply to everyone but there’s a secret reason why some of you disagree with hustle, it’s got to do with PAIN.

We as humans hate pain, which was normal when you didn’t want to be ripped apart by animals, but it still applies today.

We don’t want to hustle because it’s hard and painful, to go through, but if you can’t calibrate your mind to go through the mud you will never leave your comfort zone and expand to new places in your life.

That’s why I believe the hustle side has some key points, if you can’t even work hard for long enough hours to reach your goal then business isn’t for you.

However, there is a missing piece

The reason why some people get confused with hustling is that they believe, if all I do is hustle then, I’ll make it to my goals! The hard truth is that this isn’t enough to make you successful, it’s a piece of it.

If you try and just hustle you will eventually get burned out, or you will stay small, this is because you’re trying to do everything, and aren’t giving your body or brain any time to enjoy life.

I’ll use every hustle supporter’s favorite guy Gary Vaynerchuk, could you imagine him doing everything in his business himself.

From writing his own YouTube descriptions, recording, doing podcasts, handling his website, and handling business finances.

He would have to be an octopus to get his hands on everything, if you want to expand your company and make a bigger impact on the planet, unfortunately, this is where hustle loses.

If hustling isn’t the only answer what is?

Many factors make up a great entrepreneur, but if you want to break them down it’s 4 slices altogether these slices are called conscientious.

This means “Wishing to do one’s work or duty well and thoroughly.”

Can you see why this is a trait every entrepreneur must have to be successful? Also, do you ONLY see the word hustle? No, this means that hustle is only 25% of the formula, so what are the other slices?

Well, here’s your answer…

1. Perfection

This doesn’t mean you’re obsessed with getting everything spot on, but it does mean that you double or triple-check things in your business and life that are important.

Are you going to marry this woman? Double-check she is the right one, are you going to merge with this company? Triple check it’s the right decision, are you going to quadruple check if you want that Starbucks caramel brulee latte? Probably not you would annoy everyone in the queue. 🤣🤣🤣

As you can see perfection has a part in a great entrepreneur, because without it you wouldn’t be able to execute your dreams sensibly.

2. Organising

Let’s be honest, are you the type of person that has lots of clothes on the floor, a desk with loads of papers, unclean plates in your sink, and post-it notes all over your wall?

If you are then you need to learn how to organize, especially when things get messy, and you need to track things back, a scary example is if you’re audited, the IRS can go back 3 years to dig up dirt on you.

Do you honestly think your unorganized self would be able to handle that?

I’m not sure it would, in addition, if you clear up your desk, you’ll feel better and more refreshed, I’m not sure why, but when I file all my paper and clean my desk, I feel like I can think better.

3. Hustle

As you can see we still had to go through three other slices for us to reach hustle, but as I said before it’s the first boundary to getting your foot in the door to being an entrepreneur.

4. Prudence

This means “To have the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason” In simple terms, it’s being able to make the right decisions.

This sounds easy but I’m sure we all have had a time when we made a mistake that could have easily been avoided.

A great way to win this is by learning from books, courses, mentors, and other resources from others who have been there done that.

FINAL WORDS

More hustle isn’t the answer, it’s a way for you to get going in the start-up phase of whatever you’re going to do.

But to become successful in life and business, you’re going to need the other three pieces of the puzzle.
