When someone tells me, I don’t think I have any special talents, I say to them I don’t believe that.
I believe you’re born with greatness; I believe that you have a unique talent within you, I believe every one of us is born with a reason, that you could bring to the world, that no one else could do.
You just have to find it, nurture it, and grow it, I see this a lot with my friends and family they say, “Oh Adventago, it’s really cool that you have your own online business, I want to be just like you”.
And I always tell them, “Don’t try to be like me, I never want you to be like me, I want you to be the best version of you.”
If I try to be Russell Brunson, Jim Edwards, or Tai Lopez, I will fail 100% of the time, but, I can do a pretty good Adventago.
Here are the 7 questions that you need to think about, so you can identify, and find your unique talents.
1. How Did You Like To Spend Your Time As A Child?
So, think back to when you were growing up as a child, what did you like to do?, What sports do you like to play? What activities do you like to engage in? There is a reason why you naturally gravitate towards certain activities, certain task and certain fun things, so take a trip down memory lane and think about it.
2 What are you passionate about as an adult?
I remember when I first learned about copywriting by watching videos from Jim Edwards, at first, I was just learning it because I wanted to make more money and improve my own sales words and writing skills.
But, as I learned, observed, and watched other copywriters, I developed a passion for it, and one day I thought to myself.
“You know what, I could share my story, and I could share my message this way ”And that would bring me a lot of good emotions, and, a lot of good feelings.
3. What Do People Compliment You On The Most?
You see sometimes we are good at something that we don’t think about, and in Jim Edward’s private Facebook group one of the things that you get is feedback from the other copywriting members.
I remember that people would give me feedback on those forms, and I would read them, and they would say “Hey, Adventago you’re a natural copywriter great job”.
When I saw these comments, I was thinking “What natural! There’s nothing natural about what I do at all, it’s just hard work.”
However, when I got enough compliments and validations, I started to think to myself and recognize maybe there is something special here, that I could further develop, and that’s how I got the idea.
4. What Are You Naturally Good At?
Sometimes we are good at something and that becomes unconscious competence, this is when we think everybody is good at it, if it’s so easy for me to know, then it must be easy for everybody, well that’s simply not true.
There is a reason why you’re naturally good at it, maybe it’s your DNA, maybe it’s the way you think about things, maybe it’s the way you problem solve, or, maybe you simply see things differently compared to other people.
That right there could be your talent.
5. What Do You Find Easy That Is Hard For Others?
Now, this one ties into question 4. So, take some time to think about it, what do you find that is very easy for you, but very hard for others?
6. What Activities Make You Lose Track Of Time?
NO!!! It cannot be binge-watching on Netflix, or, playing video games, that’s not what I’m talking about
It must be an activity that adds value to other people’s lives, it must be an activity that helps other people, it must be an activity that solves problems for other people.
Because that’s where your talent lies.
And the last question, (That I believe is the most important one of all), is…
7. Who Do You Want To Help?
Who do you want to impact?
If you’ve got nothing that you love as a child, and there’s nothing that you feel passionate about as an adult, and no one compliments you on anything, and there’s no activity that you engage in, that makes you lose track of time.
Well then, we’ve got a problem, what this means is that you’ve been conditioned to be average.
You’ve been conditioned for mediocrity; you’ve been conditioned in such an environment that greatness is not cherished and celebrated.
