1. Offer Your Services For Free.
Here’s the thing, when you’re getting started, brand new and, don’t have a lot of credibility.
What you need is not just a gig, what you need is actual proof that you could do good work.
You need to be able to go to potential clients and present your portfolio and show people what great work you have done and, the results you could provide for them.
If you don’t have that, what you need to do in the beginning is get some gigs so you can prove your worth, then for other gigs in the future, you could charge.
But right now, you need to build a track record as soon as possible, this is why you should offer to work for free, you need to get some results for some people first.
It’s no good telling people you’re great at what you do, and they should trust you, sorry to break it to you but nobody cares, people need to see a track record first.
Offer your services in exchange for a testimonial and a referral, you only have to do this for a short period of time.
You must build your case and collect the evidence that people need to be able to trust you.
2. Joint Venture With Other People.
Figure out in your marketplace who already has access to the customers that you want, they’ve already spent the time and money accumulating that customer base.
All you have to do is find a way to convince them to do a joint venture with you, that way you could market to their customer base.

Here are a few ways.
You could offer them money, commission, or exchange of a service, for example, you could provide a service for free or at a discount in exchange for them letting you market to their audience.
Doing this reduces the amount of risk you have to take, and you don’t need to spend any money.
Joint venture is one of my favorite strategies in marketing, it’s a high barrier to entry, can last forever, pierces the market better than any ad could, and can cost you literally nothing.
3. Content Marketing.
This is no different than what I’m doing right now, you could create content, maybe a blog, podcast, or video.
When you can’t spend money, you have to spend time, you have to invest the time to create the content and put it out into the marketplace.
In the beginning, you need volume to cut through the noise in the marketplace, and you have to know that it’s a long game which means it will take longer.
However, if you get started today you would get better at it, then you will become more efficient, and before you know it you can crank out content day in and day out!
4. Be A Guest On Other People’s Platform.
You could be a guest on other people’s blogs, webinars, speaker conferences, or podcasts, now in order to do this, you have to be good at what you do.
You don’t have to be famous but, you’ve got to be good at what you do, and you’ve got to bring something unique to the table, that would entice people to give you their stage and media time.
However, this is also a very good way, why? Because they have already built up the attention, and trust of their audience.
Also, if you could add value to that audience and show your expertise, then simply asking the interviewer to ask you some questions and come from a place of serving their customers would be easier than ever.
5. Send Out A Pitch Video.
This is a technique that Russell Brunson and Dan Lok teach to their elite inner circle members.
However, you must listen very carefully, or else you will be spamming people, first you must identify who your ideal customers are.
Make sure to create a list first, it could be 30, 50, or even 100 people, you find out who they, what they need, and what problems you could solve for them.
Also, you must make each video custom-made, shoot a little 3 or 4-minute video addressing to the potential prospect, after that you can send it to them.
Don’t pitch your services, offer them something worth of value upfront, this works extremely well since you’re standing out, and you’re letting the prospect hear and see you.
If you’re not pitching, just adding value you can make that initial contact and from there you can establish a great relationship.
They may not do business with you right now but, you have made that connection, or they might refer you to someone else.
