It’s very interesting to see how internet marketing has evolved over the years, also, there seems to be a lot of noise and complications, however, the truth is it’s actually not that complicated.
Today I’m going to reveal to you, the only 5 ways you can use drive traffic to your website, business, or funnel.
If you have an offer, landing page, website, or online business that you need more traffic to, then you’ll find this very helpful.
1. Earn It
Now, what do I mean by that? I’m talking about your blog, I’m talking about your YouTube channel, I’m talking about your podcast, earning it means that you are creating content, usually, it’s called content marketing.
This is where you are putting content out there, hopefully, it adds value to people’s lives, and, once enough people see it, then they might want to learn more, and opt into your offer, funnel, or buy one of your products.
Now, the problem with earning it is that you’ve got to invest quite a lot of time and effort, to create content consistently, and the problem is with social media, and, with the internet is that it’s like a monster, it’s never enough.
You always have to keep feeding this content monster, it doesn’t matter how much content you create, this monster will eat it all up.
Also, there’s a time and place for content marketing, in fact, I do a lot of content marketing, but, if that’s the only strategy you have, I think that’s a bit dangerous.
2. Buy It
I’m talking about paid traffic, you’re running Google ads, Facebook ads, Instagram ads, Google display ads, or YouTube ads.
it doesn’t matter, but you’re paying for the traffic, it could be, you’re paying per impression or pay per click, it doesn’t matter, you’re spending money to drive traffic to your website.
Now, the disadvantage here is that it will cost you money, you’re going to have to spend money to acquire traffic.
The upside is if you look at any large or medium online or brick-and-mortar business, pretty much they will rely on paid traffic.
Because, when you can buy traffic, you can scale your business, and increase the number of visitors going to your website, business, or offer.
This is a very powerful strategy that you need to have in your online or brick-and-mortar business.
3. Borrow It
This means you’re tapping into other people who already have customers, now, how could you borrow them? The way you would do this is through an affiliate program, or it could be through a joint venture.
For example, you have a joint venture partner that has a list of 100,000 people, and you’ve got an offer.
You can then strike a deal, where the joint venture partner, promoting your offer to his or her list, gets in exchange a commission, this is how you you are borrowing their traffic source.
Another way you could do this is, if you have content that other websites and channels are willing to feature.
This is also a form of borrowing traffic, sometimes you have to borrow traffic for money, for example, paying them upfront, or, letting them have some of the commissions.
And sometimes it can be for free for example, if an influencer thinks your content is good and they share it with their audience.
4. Recycle Traffic
What do I mean by this? Let’s say you have an opt-in offer, where someone goes to a website, and they’ve given you their email address.
Now, you’re building your email list, those visitors you have acquired might have been done by spending money or earning them, it doesn’t matter.
Now, they are in your email list, you can keep sending them offers and emails that drive them back to your website or content, you’re basically recycling that traffic, it’s the same visitor, but, you are using them for different things.
Here is an example, I could have someone go to my website and opt-in to my list to get the book Traffic Secrets.

After someone has opted into a list, maybe I would email them my latest video, or ask them to follow me on YouTube.
So, think of it like this, they come in through an email, then, they are sent to different locations.
As you can see, I am recycling the traffic, it’s the same person, but I am circling the traffic through different channels.
5. Retarget
Usually, this is a function on Facebook, Google, and YouTube, this is where you are retargeting already known customers, or leads that could potentially be customers.
I want you to picture it like this, a person has visited your website, they have gone through your offer, but maybe they haven’t bought.
It could be a number of reasons, but let’s say they were busy at the moment, you could run retargeting ads, and show them some more things, maybe some more content, a testimonial or make some more urgency, also this can be used to save potential lost sales.

Which one should I start with?
A better approach I believe is to just pick one, if you’ve got a proven offer that converts maybe you want to start with borrowing or buying traffic.
But, if you don’t have a budget, and, you don’t have a lot of money, but you have time, then you should invest that time and earn your traffic.
However, maybe you have an offer, you’ve done some content marketing, and you think it’s time to scale your business, then you want to allocate a certain amount of budget, to buy traffic and grow your company.
I believe in the beginning just pick one and focus on that, and get it to a certain level, then you can diversify a bit.
Within my business I do all 5, I do a lot of earn traffic, I spend a lot of money to buy traffic, I also have a few affiliate partners and joint ventures that I borrow traffic from, also, I build my own email list so I can recycle my traffic.
