Hey, it’s your entrepreneur and investor friend Adventago here, and today I’m going to be sharing with you how to create a landing page that converts over 40%,
I know what you’re thinking WHAT! 40% conversion rate on a landing page? That’s insane! Well, it’s actually possible, sure if you’re selling a product for $997, you’re not going to get a 40% conversion rate.
But, let’s say you’re just collecting leads like name and email address, you can get over 40%, and, even if you’re selling products you can boost your conversion rates if you follow these exact tips.
1. Use Click Funnels
The cool part about Click Funnels is they break down the landing pages in their system that convert the best, and, they’re not making this up by saying “This landing page converts better than this other one because it looks cool”.
They’re using data, they have so many customers that they’re basing it off their existing customer base, and their current conversion rates.
So, if they know all their customers are using this one landing page that’s converting better than all the other ones out there, that should tell you that you should start with that landing page first.
2. Have An Amazing Unique Value Proposition
Not a gimmicky one, like put in your name and email and I’ll send you a free PDF, or I’ll send you weekly updates, that value proposition is boring.
It has to be amazing for example, Dan Lok gives free courses, and free guides from, masterminds that he has spent thousands of dollars to attend.
Now, Dan Lok is a crazy person, you don’t have to go above and beyond like him, but his stuff converts better than most peoples, why? Because he goes above, and beyond.
With your value proposition, it needs to resonate with people, if you’re not solving a really deep problem that they’re facing, then they’re not going to opt-in, or buy from you.
If you’re just scratching the surface, and, you’re not breaking down why they should opt-in, or, why they should buy your product, or, service, and, why it solves this problem that they’ve been suffering with, they’re much less likely to buy from you.
Focus on your copy, everything that a customer judges on is based on the value proposition and the copy, those 2 things are the biggest factors that will affect your conversion rate.
3. Keep It Simple And Silly
One of John Crestani’s companies is called the super affiliate system, why? Because he found that in affiliate marketing everyone tried to overcomplicate it.
There’s no reason for it, why not keep things super simple? For example, if you have 10 form fields when you only need 2 remove the extra stuff that you don’t need.
If you have tons of copy and you’re saying the same stuff over and over again, remove the fluff get to the point, landing pages that are super simple tend to convert better than long ones that go on and on and ramble.
I’m not saying you should have a short landing page instead, what I’m saying is you should get to the point.
If you need to have a longer landing page because it helps you answer objections or concerns people have, before they opt-in or buy from you, then that’s fine, have a long landing page.
But, get to the point and remove the fluff that’s called keeping it simple, you don’t want really long landing pages that go on and on (Like I am right now with this point) because you’re going to lose people.
4. Show Social Proof
There are so many different versions of social proof it could be testimonials, case studies, results other people are experiencing, or even be videos.
As you can see on Dan Lok’s Youtube channel he has thousands of video testimonials, that’s a MASSIVE amount of social proof.
There’s so many different variations that you can use, it depends based on the type of landing page, you have, and, the business you have.
However, if you’re unsure about the best type of social proof for your landing page every successful marketer can agree with me and say it goes in this order.
First, is video, second is only audio with the customer’s face, third is text with the customer’s face, and lastly is text with no face.
5. Create A Video
In this generation almost everyone hates reading, some people enjoy looking at pictures, but a picture isn’t going to cause tons of people to convert.
You need a video that should explain everything that they’re going to get when they opt in or buy your product or sign up for your service.
That video should be short, and straight to the point, also it should be under 3 minutes ideally under 1 minute.
It should answer any objections people have before they sign up or buy from you and it should describe everything in a logical order, you don’t want to be bouncing around and making your video pitch really confusing.
And when you do videos, what you’ll find is it can sometimes decrease your conversions, but.
The quality of the customer that you end up generating is much better, and they tend to spend more over the lifetime value, believe me, make sure you test video.
Follow those tips and you’re going to have an amazing landing page that’s going to convert better, if you’re collecting emails, you should see at least 40%.
If you’re selling a product depending on how targeted the traffic is you could be at numbers like 3, 4, 5, and, sometimes up to 10% depending on the price point.
